You know when you’re truly comfortable with someone when you don’t have to think about what to say around them. You don’t really need to say anything sometimes. You can just sit there silently thinking to yourself, and the person sitting next to you can be just as lost in thought as you are. Sometimes there is no need for an exchange of words. And when there is, you don’t have to collect the words to say; they just flow out of you as if they were sitting on the surface of a mudslide. They travel down slippery slopes without stopping and without hesitating, and for the first time, you’re okay with it.
